Some shameless self promotion. In the recently released Fall 2006 issue of CISTI News there's a story about the CISTI Widget that I knocked up a few months back. I've been meaning to get back to the thing to update it, and to do some more interesting work, but time is precious these days.
That said, feel free to check it out, steal it, fix it, improve upon it. My real purpose was just to learn about the widget language, and produce something simple. It is indeed simple.
In version 2 I had done some work on moving the display of the results within the widget. Whilst I did manage that, I never really returned to fix and polish it... so I've not made it available yet. It was using David Walker's Shrew (SRU) service, and was (in a terribly hackish way) doing it's own parsing. Perhaps time will move more slowly next year, or they will add another day in the week.
